API Engineer

Transparently is building healthcare’s first digital patient experience platform. We believe consumers deserve to have confidence in their healthcare journey instead of confusion and frustration. That is why we partner with the nation's leading health systems to empower patients with the information and guidance they need to make better healthcare decisions.

Our engineering team builds the foundation of our company. We are responsible for keeping our products live, our software fast, and our data clean. We are techies through and through, and wouldn't have it any other way.

This is an opportunity to build our high performant APIs, ones that really power the digital patient experience for health systems across the country. Our products will be built on top of internal APIs developed by you. Our clients will build apps on top of external APIs developed by you. You'll be responsible for not only architecting what these APIs will deliver - both at a technical and design level, but also think about how these APIs will shape our products.

Responsibilities

  • Architect API design
  • Consume data from various EHRs
  • Consume data from various external data systems (survey vendors, appointment scheduling solutions, and provider credentialing systems to name a few)
  • Develop internal APIs for our engineers across all products
  • Develop external APIs (REST) for our clients

Requirements

  • BS in computer science or equivalent practical experience
  • Have previously developed stable APIs consumed by large scale applications
  • Deep understanding of SQL databases
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft stack (C#, .NET, .NET Core)

Bonus Points!

  • Deploying APIs on the Microsoft Azure infrastructure
